Project narrative
This initiative focuses on strengthening women's leadership, community participation, and sustainable livelihoods in the tribal regions of West Singhbhum.
The project promotes women's participation in local governance, MGNREGA planning, and decision-making while strengthening access to wage employment and livelihood opportunities.
Gram Panchayats, Village Institutions, Self-Help Groups, Village Organizations, and Women Mate Forums are strengthened to improve transparency, participation, and local governance. Women are supported through capacity building and technical knowledge to take active leadership roles in community development.
The project also promotes climate-resilient agriculture, horticulture, livestock, fisheries, nutrition gardens, agroforestry, and water resource management. Through convergence, technical handholding, and community-based monitoring, the initiative aims to strengthen sustainable livelihoods, women's leadership, and grassroots governance.
