Project narrative
The Lakhpati Kisan 2.0 Programme promotes an integrated, climate-resilient livelihood model to strengthen the socio-economic status of tribal and rural households.
The programme aims to support families in achieving stronger annual household incomes through climate-smart agriculture, livestock development, horticulture, water resource management, entrepreneurship, and community institution strengthening.
The programme promotes High Value Agriculture, drip irrigation, mulching, horticulture, and improved planting technologies. Water security is strengthened through farm ponds, seepage wells, recharge structures, and solar-based irrigation systems.
Diversified livelihood opportunities include goat rearing, piggery, backyard poultry, fisheries, and lac cultivation. Community institutions, Producer Groups, Village Organizations, and Farmer Producer Companies are strengthened to improve collective action, market access, and value-chain development.
