Project narrative
The ERADA Project strengthened the livelihoods of vulnerable rural households through sustainable Natural Resource Management, convergence with government schemes, and diversified livelihood opportunities.
The project leveraged MGNREGS to improve natural resource management, strengthen wage employment, and create long-term livelihood assets. It promoted agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, livestock, and enterprise development through participatory planning, GIS-based technology, and capacity building.
The programme supported regenerative agriculture, nutrition gardens, millet cultivation, organic farming, livestock management, aquaculture, compost preparation, and micro-enterprise development.
Women's Self-Help Group members were supported through training in mushroom cultivation, food processing, soap and phenyl production, and other livelihood activities. Strong convergence with Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock, Fisheries, and other government agencies strengthened access to technical and financial support.
The project demonstrated the value of combining community participation, technology-based planning, government convergence, and capacity building to strengthen sustainable rural livelihoods.
